Everyone loves a treat, but it is so much better we can make sure
that these treats are delicious but still healthy! Buckwheat is a great source
of carbohydrates and protein and also contains several other vitamins and
minerals such as magnesium, manganese and B vitamins. Buckwheat is
also gluten free!
Ingredients
1 cup buckwheat flour
1/2 cup almond flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup Buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp honey
1 egg
1 mashed banana
Method
- Mix together the buckwheat flour, almond flour, cinnamon, salt and
baking powder. - Add all the wet ingredients (buttermilk, egg, vanilla essence, honey and
banana) to the dry ingredients and mix well - Heat a medium sized pan on medium heat and place a spoonful of
mixture into pan - Flip pancake once you see bubbles appearing
- Top off with anything delicious- honey, peanut butter, banana or
strawberries
